Auto Insurance Discounts*
Many of the Insurance Companies we represent offer the following discounts to give you even more opportunities to save on your auto insurance premium:
Multi-vehicle discount*
If you insure more than one automobile with the same insurance company, you'll get a break on the premium on both automobiles.
Multi-line discount*
Consider taking out both your automobile and property insurance with the same company. You'll get a reduced premium for the automobile and/or property insurance.
Good driver discount*
It pays to drive safely. Insurance companies offer driving record discounts for every year (subject to a maximum) that you've had no accidents or tickets.
Retiree discount*
This is generally for drivers aged 65 or older who receive a private or government pension.
Driver education*
If you're learning to drive, it's a good idea to take an approved driver training course. When you pass the course (with flying colours, of course) the insurance company will give you a discount to recognize your safe driving skills.
Anti-theft devices*
Keep your automobile safe, and you'll reap the benefits. Anti-theft devices such as ignition "kill" switches, alarms, hood and wheel locks reduce the likelihood of theft or vandalism and may justify a discount -- plus you'll still have your car around to enjoy!
Student discount*
If you're attending a post-secondary school and living away from home, your insurance company may give you a reduced premium on your parent's insurance policy. This discount reflects your reduced access to the family automobile. But it also helps maintain your driving experience and history. This will pay off when you purchase your own automobile insurance.
